Suggestions are being put forward for a new bridge link in Thailand, which will help improve transport between Phatthalung Province and Songkhla Province.

An environmental assessment of the proposed Khao Chai Son-Krasae Sin bridge is being carried out at present and should be complete by the second quarter of 2021. Building the Khao Chai Son-Krasae Sin bridge is expected to cost in the region of US$91 million.

If the structure gets the go ahead, it will cut journey times considerably for drivers. The link will reduce travel distances by 80km and will help develop tourism in the area, an important economic factor in its favour.
