Proposals are being made for a sea bridge in Thailand.
A 10km bridge is being proposed to linkKoh Chang Island with mainland Thailand. The bridge was first proposed some years ago and the project now appears to be moving closer to being realised. Estimated costs for the Thailand bridge project have yet to be revealed however.
The bridge would replace the current ferry service, which only operates during daylight hours and is often unable to cope with the volume of traffic, especially during holiday periods. Drivers often have to wait in queues for 4-6 hours to make the 30-45 minute crossing at present.
