Peru is planning major infrastructure expansion

Peruvian plans for infrastructure projects will see up to US$10.7 billion worth of concessions being awarded during 2013. This contrasts strongly with the $700 million awarded in 2012. Peruvian plans for infrastructure projects will see up to US$10.7 billion worth of concessions being awarded during 2013. This contrasts strongly with the $700 million awarded in 2012. One of the main highway projects is for the $552 million Longitudinal de la Sierra route. Peru is planning massive infrastructure investment

Massive plans for infrastructure investment have been revealed in Peru. The country’s transportation and communications ministry, MTC, intends to invest some US$20 billion in infrastructure by 2016. Peru highway concessions face lengthy delays

Red tape and bureaucracy are to blame for delays to Peru’s highway concessions.
