A key road project is underway in Paraguay.
Construction work is well underway on Paraguay’s Pilar Road project. The 38.4km section linking Pilar to the Tebicuary River is now close to completion. This section of the work is costing US$56.7 million and is being handled the consortium, Consorcio Ecomipa-Tocsa.
Work is also underway on the first section of the road, but is not so close to being completed. This stretch of the Pilar Road project is in Ñeembucú Department and is being handled by the consortium Consorcio TC Pilar and is costing $55.4 million.
The work is important for Paraguay's economic development and will include maintenance of existing road sections.
