New Mexican road projects planned

A package of new Mexican road projects is being planned.

A new package of road projects is being planned by the Mexican Government. In all the works will cost an estimated US$4.65 billion.

Construction is starting on the largest of these, the $1 billion highway connecting Naucalpan and Ecatepec, with the project being managed jointly by contractor ICA and the Mexico State Government.

Meanwhile, the $210 million highway linking Cuapiaxtla with Cuacnopalan is being managed jointly by contractor Mota Engil and the Puebla State Government, with construction commencing in early 2021. Contractor Pinfra is working on a $230.4 million project in Sonora State linking Altar and Sabase, while there is also the $134 million Libramiento Colima highway project.
