Major Angola motorway contract for Chinese firm

A massive Angola motorway contract will be handled by a Chinese firm.

Angola is to benefit from a new 1,400km highway, which will be built a Chinese firm. The construction project has been awarded to China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).

Construction of the highway will provide an important transport route for Angola. The highway will boost transport in the country as well as improving its connections to neighbouring Namibia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The economic benefits for Angola will be substantial.

The contract was awarded by Angola’s Ministry of Public Works and the work is due for completion by late 2025.
