Work is starting for the US$130 million interchange upgrade in Los Angeles at State Route 47 (SR 47)/Vincent Thomas Bridge and Front Street/Harbor Boulevard. The project is being managed jointly by the Port of Los Angeles and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

The project is intended to cut congestion and improve traffic flow for drivers, reducing journey times. The work should be complete in 2026. Safety will be improved and there will also be better facilities for vulnerable road users.
