Progress is being seen in China’s Guangzhou Province for a proposed new highway connecting Nansha and Huangpu. The 36.6km highway is expected to cost US$5.8 billion to build. The route will be constructed with six lanes in either direction.

An environmental impact assessment is to be carried out for the project. Tendering is opening for this impact assessment.
