One of the key projects is for a stretch of the Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway, which is due for completion at the end of 2019. This new route will run from the Ziya River that borders Hebei and Tianjin provinces and will link with Dingzhou city. Another major project is the upgrade to the 43km Yuyao-Wenling road. The other major projects include the 133km Longyouheng-Kaihua expressway, the Chenglingji-Yueyang expressway and a highway from Changde city to Zhangjiajie.
