The electrically driven Warrior 1400XE mobile heavy duty screen is 2991 Powerscreen’s big global model launch this week.

Oliver Donnelly, the Northern Ireland-headquartered crushing and screening giant’s product manager, said the model captured both the company’s response to customer feedback and its emphasis on a more environmentally aware approach to innovation.

“For more environmentally sensitive areas, like parts of Scandinavia, customers do not want hydraulic oil floating around their working machine,” said Donnelly.

The key advantage of the up to 450tonnes/hour material processing Warrior 1400XE is its multiple power options. It can be self-powered with its own 72kVA generator, or be connected to a mains electricity supply for even further reductions in cost of ownership. The Warrior 1400XE can also be powered from an electric drive crusher with a barely noticeable effect on the crusher fuel consumption.

“This machine is also conducive to operating indoors as there’s no exhaust fumes. For recycling type installations, this is a much better solution than the diesel hydraulic equivalent. The Warrior 1400XE also offers high compatibility with some of our other models, such as the electric variant of the Premiertrak 600 jaw crusher [the Premiertrak 600E].”

Powerscreen is also this week showcasing its new range of CT mobile conveyors – 50ft, 65ft and 80ft - for the aggregates sector.

“There was a lot of need from our dealers for tracked mobile stockpile conveyors. We took that feedback on board and have developed three models initially,” added Donnelly. “You’ll see other exciting products coming through in that division.”
