The M6 Phase III Motorway between Dunaújváros and Szekszárd is being run under a 30-year concession awarded by the Republic of Hungary under a design, build, finance, maintain and operate contract.
The 65km dual carriageway link forms the central section of the M6 highway linking Budapest to Pecs in the South of Hungary.
Eight traffic junctions have been built to ensure connection to the national public roads together with 58 bridges, out of which six are between 160-632m long, and an operation and maintenance centre.
The contract value is 520 million, one of the largest infrastructure deals in Hungary.
The concession company M6 Tolna Autópálya Koncesszios Zrt comprises2376 EGIS Projects (10%), 2516 Bilfinger and Berger (45%) and Porr Solutions (45%). Egis Road Operation, a 100% Egis Projects subsidiary, will operate and maintain the M6 phase III motorway through a 52% participation in a special purpose company, M6 Tolna üzemeltet kft, together with Bilfinger Berger Infrastructure Services (16%), Porr Solutions (16%) and 4178 Asfinag (16%).
