Uganda upgrading roads - Chinese funding

Uganda's Government is investing some US$512 million in upgrading and maintaining the country's national and district road networks.

Uganda's Government is investing some US$512 million in upgrading and maintaining the country's national and district road networks. Meanwhile a loan worth $366 million being provided by the 2719 Chinese Government will fund work on the highway linking Uganda's two major cities, Entebbe and Kampala. In addition, the 1073 Ugandan Government is allocating $17 million to build new roads in road network in capital Kampala, as well as to upgrade existing links.
