Available in 400, 450 and 500 Brinel hardness wear-plate grades, Abrazo is suited to buckets and cutting edges, truck body linings, mining armoured face conveyors, chutes, hoppers and conveyor parts.
Tata Steel said the extended Abrazo range now features guaranteed toughness grades, giving customers reassurance when choosing abrasion-resistant steel plate for use in extreme environments. With specified high-impact toughness at temperatures down to -40degrees C, the 400 and 450 grade plates are designed to operate in cold climates.
The extended product range is a result of Tata Steel’s recent €23 million investment at its Clydebridge and Dalzell sites to improve production facilities. View more videos
