Six companies have submitted bids for a US$87.62 million (ARS 400million) road construction deal in Santiago del Estero in Argentina. Jose Cartellone Construcciones Civiles; Petersen Thiele & Cruz; Eleprint; Mijovi; Benito Roggio e Hijos; and Supercemento are interested in the project . The 70km road will link La Banda and Amama.

Argentina deal delayed

A project to construct much-needed highway links in Argentina now looks to have hit delays. The tender process for the highway projects, which will lie along the Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires Province, has now been held back. A partnership comprising IECSA, Chediack, Coarc, Equimac and Martinez de la Fuente had a proposal for the package of works disqualified due to financial terms of the various deals.

Two Argentina road contracts awarded

The contracts for two major road projects have been awarded in Argentina. Both of the road contracts will be handled under the PPP model, having been awarded by the Argentine Government. Jose Cartellone Construcciones Civiles will handle the contract for a 780km stretch of the C road corridor, connecting capital Buenos Aires with Mendoza, close to the Chilean border.
