The company claims that reliability, durability, productivity and ease of maintenance are all features of this model. Shantui has supplied five of these units to North African customers over the past 12 months.
The SR32YR is one of Shantui's most recently developed models and features a full hydrostatic drive from Rexroth, which combines with electronic controls in the cab to deliver smooth and precise operation according to the firm. The machine is equipped with an 11m³ blade ideal for levelling debris and is powered by a196 Cummins diesel rated at 250kW. The combination of electronic controls and the highly efficient Rexroth drive and Cummins diesel are said to ensure high output combined with low fuel consumption. Other features include an enclosed frame configuration that provides protection to key components, modular design and a comfortable, ROPS-equipped cab fitted with air conditioning and filtration. The SR32YR is one of a series of new machines from Shantui intended to expand the range, which has relied heavily on the bulldozer segment in the past.
Meanwhile in Angola, Shantui is developing its operations, which are handled by local dealer ANGOBEST. The company recently held an open day at ANGOBEST’s facility in Luanda, displaying a number of Shantui bulldozers, wheeled loaders, compactors, and graders from its line-up. This was attended by more than 180 guests, including media representatives, government officials and customers. The event was used to promote the Shantui brand in the region, with ANGOBEST subsequently recording sales of some US$1.6 million in all. Included in the orders were the 164kW SD22 and SD22F bulldozers, SG18-3 graders, and SR20MP compactors.
The Shantui bulldozer brand is well established in Angola already through ANGOBEST but the aim is to boost the market penetration of the firm’s other products such as the compactors, cranes, concrete equipment, excavators, graders and wheeled loaders.
