Qinghai to see US$237.8million spent on bridges and rural roads

The Chinese province of Qinghai will this year see US$237.83million spent on 300 new bridges and 2,000km of new rural roads in farm and pastoral areas. In 2011, a total of $289.49million was spent on creating 306 new bridges and 1,767km of rural roads in Qinghai. The sum also paid for the upgrade of 5,901km of rural roads.

China’s Sichuan Province targets rural road development

China’s Sichuan Province has plans in hand to develop its rural road network. The development programme commenced in 2013 with some 8,500km of new rural roads planned by 2017 and costing an estimated US$824.16 million. Chinese investment

China's Ministry for Transport reveals that it beat its target for upgrading rural roads during 2009. Some 381,000km of rural roads were improved, beating the target of 300,000km by a considerable margin.
