The new generation DL550 wheeled loader from 6902 Doosan Infracore is the top-of-the-range model in the company’s updated range of wheel loaders intended for markets in the Middle East and Africa. With a bucket capacity of 5.4m3, the DL550 wheel loader is powered by a 12.7 litre 759 Scania DC13 turbo-charged, air-to-air intercooled diesel engine that meets Tier 2 legislation and suits use in the Middle East and Africa. The engine delivers 294kW at 2100rpm and drives through a new ZF transmission. Other features combine with the engine and transmission to reduce fuel consumption and maximise productivity.
The DL550 wheeled loader has three engine working modes: ECO, NORMAL and POWER, to adapt the machine to different applications, with different engine speeds and gear steps according to the working mode engaged. With the Power-Up function, the operator can manually adjust to the next highest working mode by applying a full stroke of the accelerator pedal. With this function, the operator can travel in moderate NORMAL mode and switch to POWER mode when it is really needed, such as when taking material from a pile. This capability helps to reduce fuel consumption. There is also a new Auto Idle feature which, when activated, reduces engine speed by about 200rp after 10 seconds if there is no machine movement. The new ZF Type II axles give greater durability and a longer lifetime. A new cab design features better visibility, better protection and a new instrument panel with integrated vehicle control unit (VCU).
New kinematics and a larger cylinder on the lift arm have allowed the main pressure in the front hydraulic system to be increased by up to 70bar, with a corresponding increase in breakout and lifting forces. An automatic front control system allows the operator to save one low and one high position.2 Internal <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 2 11560 0 oLinkInternal <span class="oLinkInternal"><span class="oLinkInternal">View more videos</span></span> Video false /event-news/bauma-2013/video/ true false %>
