New features for 228 Hamm’s GRW280 rubber tyred rollers will help increase performance for contractors.  The new GRW 280i is now available with engines that meet the Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emission requirements, while also offering better fuel consumption. A number of detail changes have been made to the exterior of the rollers including newly designed side panels with easily accessible lashing points. Changes have also been made inside and a key feature is the revised ballast compartment, which allows users to vary the operating weight more easily than before. This increases versatility, as the machine can now be configured more easily to the needs of a specific compaction application. Other new technical details include the prefitting for the tyre inflation system or the standard oil service valve that eliminates losses during oil changes.
