The E&E Congress welcomes the return to a physical format for the event after the decision to go virtual in 2021 due to the pandemic. Past physical congresses - such as Prague in 2016 - have been highly successful knowledgde-sharing and networking events - 817 delegates, 58 exhibitors and 247 accepted papers.
The 8th E&E Congress 2024 in the Hungarian capital Budapest, from June 19 to 21 is organised jointly by the European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA) and Eurobitume (European Association for Bitumen).
The rescheduling of the previous congress means that there is only three years between these flagship industry congresses. But EAPA and Eurobitume believe that during these three years there has been a lot of changes within the working environment. To this extent, the E&E Congress will provide an excellent opportunity for a wide range of companies and organisations involved in the asphalt and bitumen sectors to demonstrate how they have embraced and developed solutions for these new challenges.
The overriding theme for 2024 is based on three important key words "Resilience – Sustainability – Innovation”. Session topics for the three-day event include binder performance, low-temperature asphalt, high performance asphalt mixtures and carbon-neutral pavement and future mobility and digitisation. There is also a major social event at the end of day 2
