The construction machinery manufacturer Develon is building a new facility in Mannheim, Germany. Structural engineering work for the administration building on the approximately 10,650 m2 site in Mannheim’s Friedrichsfeld district, has already been completed and the shell has been erected. In the next few weeks, the façade work and the interior fittings will be completed.
“We see our goal of consistently expanding the business step by step literally growing every day and are looking forward to welcoming customers and retailers on site from next year. This also includes, for example, the German-language training courses at bauma,” reports Andreas Lohner, managing director of Develon Germany and sales manager for the GSA region and Eastern Europe.
René Halter, member of the Management Board at Develon in Mannheim, is also satisfied with the progress of the construction work: “The shell of the office building and of the adjacent warehouse has been completed. This offers a really impressive view of the entire construction project.”
In addition to large workshop spaces and an office building, a modern customer and training centre will also be built. The rental fleet with the latest generation of machines and a wide range of new machines will also be housed there. A total of up to 40 new jobs are to be created. The new Develon site in the Friedrichfeld district of Mannheim is very conveniently located with direct access to the A656 highway (Mannheim-Heidelberg).
