The Conexpo organisers are offering a comprehensive education programme at the exhibition, as well as at its partner IFPE 2014 event. In addition, more than 95 allied associations and groups are official show supporting organisations, while hundreds of industry meetings and conventions will be held at the shows and key countries for industry business are hosting international exhibit pavilions. Safety and education/training will be spotlighted with focused industry events in the outdoor exhibit lots, in addition to the specialised product and country pavilions on the show floor.

This education programme is intended to help attendees sharpen their professional skills and improve their business efficiency and productivity.

Industry experts will be on hand to share the latest operational techniques and management strategies, with sessions offered at varying times throughout the shows for attendees to maximise their time onsite. For Conexpo there are 120 sessions across 10 tracks to target a range of attendee interests. These include equipment management and maintenance, safety and regulations, recycling and preservation, earthmoving and site development, business management best practices, and workforce development. They also include aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and cranes and rigging. A new education ticket Plan allows attendees flexibility to choose sessions onsite. Allied industry groups will also offer training and certification programs in conjunction with the show.

Meanwhile the IFPE 2014 education programme provides both application-based and research-driven sessions, targeted to several levels of expertise and interest, with the latest information crucial for engineers and others involved in the design and manufacturing processes. The IFPE Technical Conference features research developments in the fluid power industry. The emphasis is on new technologies and methods related to improved analysis, design, manufacture and performance of fluid power components and systems for mobile and industrial markets. Special keynote presentations are included. One registration allows access to more than 80 presentations and the keynotes and includes a flash drive with conference Proceedings. Certificates for PDH or CEUs are available.

Attendees can Plan their visit with the interactive online show planner, now available as a %$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 oLinkExternal free mobile app mobile app false http://app.core-apps.com/ceca2014 false false%>, to stay connected during the shows and this tool is sponsored by 178 Caterpillar. The official 2014 show supporting organisations come from the US, Canada and 16 other countries worldwide. Besides the US and Canada, these groups represent Africa, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Germany, India, Korea, Mexico, Philippines, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom and Venezuela.

Eight international exhibit pavilions will be featured for 2014: IFPE with China, Italy and Taiwan; Conexpo with China, Ireland, Korea, Spain and United Kingdom. These country-specific pavilions offer attendees a wider range of business solutions and help them develop more global industry contacts, while participating exhibitors gain access to customers outside their home countries.

Also on the show floor are safety and education/training initiatives returning from the last event. These include the NRMCA International Truck Mixer Driver Championship, from the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, which will take place in the Blue Lot. They also include the Lift Safety Zone, from NCCCO National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators and 2135 IPAF International Powered Access Federation in Gold Lot #1817. And the Crane Operator Rodeo will be in Gold Lot #2875. Meanwhile several national industry associations are holding annual conventions or high-level board meetings at the shows.
