China’s latest expressway works planned

China is planning a series of major latest expressway works.

New expressway works are planned in China that will further extend and improve the country’s road network.

Yunnan Province is seeing two major projects being planned. A new 181km expressway will connect Shangri-La and Ninglang Yi Autonomous County at an estimated cost of US$7.52 billion. The package is for a 35-year concession, with construction expected to take five years and the deal including a 30-year period of operation. The tender is being handled by Yunnan Transportation Development Investment. Tendering is also underway for the Zhenyuan-Ning'er road project in Yunnan Province. The 92km route will link Zhenyuan Yi, Hani and Lahu Autonomous County to Ning'er Hani and Yi Autonomous County. The work is expected to cost $2.92 billion and will be handled under the EPC model.

Tendering is underway for the new Zhuji-Shengzhou Expressway project, located in Shaoxing. The expressway will measure 65km and is expected to cost $3.23 billion to build. The Shaoxing Public Resources Trading Platform is handling the tender process.

And tendering is underway for the Yinzhou-Ninghai Expressway. The project is being handled by the  Shaoxing Public Resource Trading Network and is expected to cost $1.39 billion.
