Cause for concern – Cambodia’s crashes

Cambodia’s road crashes are already resulting in a high rate of deaths and injuries. The country’s traffic police released data showing that for the first half of 2016 the country saw 919 fatalities from road crashes, as well as 3,909 serious injuries. Of those killed, 80% were riding motorcycles and police data shows that 70% of those powered two wheeler users killed were not wearing helmets at the time.
