AECOM’s UK transport team has been selected to develop a masterplan for the Romanian national transport system. An assessment of the short, medium and long-term outlook for the country’s transport system will form part of the masterplan. It will also contain sustainability-conscious infrastructure and policy recommendations for all transport modes, including road, rail, air, Constanta Port and navigation of the Danube River.

The value of the Romanian Ministry of Transport proffered contract is US$2.88million (9.5million Romanian Lei).
Developed as part of the project, The National Transport Model will provide the analytical support for funding applications to the EU Cohesion Fund for the 2014-2020 programming period.
AECOM’s project team will be led from the company’s Bucharest office and supported by experts from the UK.
