BICES organisers say a growth in the number of exhibitors, space and scope of the 2011 event assure it of success
As the new US$33 billion Beijing-Shanghai 300km/hour bullet train swings into action the organisers of BICES 2011 are also claiming a world-class success. They say that the 11th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar 2011 has achieved what it planned with a 25% growth from the previous event (2009) in the number of exhibitors and floor space.

As the new US$33 billion Beijing-Shanghai 300km/hour bullet train swings into action the organisers ofThe event is being held against a backdrop of fast-growing infrastructure development in China, which has seen the the construction machinery industry "develop at high-speed," with the sales value in 2010 rising by 48%, a trend that is set to continue throughout 2011.
With an area of nearly 200,000m² (including 70,000m² in three indoor halls), the BICES 2011 event at Beijing Jiuhua International Exhibition Center from 18-21 October "will break records in terms of the number of exhibitors, scope of the exhibits and the scale." The organisers claim this, along with some 1,200 exhibitors, will make BICES 2011 the largest exhibition of its type in the Asia-Pacific region this year.
A huge growth in the number of international exhibitors has resulted in the establishment of an independent international pavilion, while China's larger domestic companies will exhibit as group enterprises and with a larger show area than at the previous event.

"Being optimistic about the Chinese market and the well-recognised BICES/IVEX brand, a large number of exhibitors made reservations for booth space much larger than they used to require. A few of the reserved booths have even reached 4,000-5,000m in floor area. In spite of the organisers' efforts to provide greater space, there are still enterprises which cannot fully realise their requirement of show space expansion. Therefore, the organisers said they will consider a preference for those exhibitors who will bring newly-innovated products and green, energy-saving products."
BICES 2011 has expanded the scope of the exhibits. In addition to the earthmoving machinery, the event will showcase crushing and screening machinery and equipment used at the construction site.
And new segments will deal with every aspect of a machine and spare parts, while new business models such as financial leasing and auctions will also find their way into the exhibition, say the organisers.

A simultaneous event will be the summit for global construction machinery industry manufacturers.
The organisers aim to attract more visitors and have upgraded the links to the exhibition ground, while visitor invitations have been extended to over 40 domestic and international industry associations and visitor delegations have been confirmed from Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Brazil, Ghana and Syria.
"With the rapid growth of China's construction machinery market and expansion of the exhibition scale, the organisers will do their utmost to make steps towards a world-class exhibition. Hence, the organisers are determined to put in more effort in providing better services and drawing more visitors.
"BICES organisers have renovated the roads inside and outside the venue in order to improve traffic conditions and comfort levels. In the meantime a shuttle bus service will be optimised by relocating the stops and revising the schedule so that most of the visitors will be able to reach the venue within one hour."
BICES 2011 is co-located with IVEX, the Beijing International Commercial Vehicles Exposition, an exhibition particularly for trucks and special vehicles launched by BICES organisers (the CCMA, China Construction Machinery Co and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Machinery Sub-Council) and the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF).
