Dedicated in equal measure to engineers and other professionals including architects and contractors, senior figures from public and private entities for the management of road networks, and the users of machinery, equipment, materials and technologies for the production of conglomerates and the construction and maintenance of roads, ASPHALTICA is, to use the 2012 event’s slogan, on the ‘right road’ for the road industry leaders requiring updated and accurate information on production technologies and implementation, raw materials and environmental sustainability, regulatory updates and the latest market trends.
As in the past ASPHALTICA, whose last edition in 2010 drew more than 180 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors, is organised by PADOVAFIERE in cooperation with SITEB (Italian Association of Asphalt Bitumen Roads), the national industry association that brings together the different key players in the market: the oil companies and bitumen distribution companies, road building contractors involved with production and laying of asphalt, machines and equipment manufacturers, factories specialised in asphalt additives and products, material testing laboratories, service providers and quality control, waterproofing membranes industry, and the road departments of many public administrations.
Among key issues set to be discussed during ASPHALTICA’s rich and varied conference program organised by SITEB will be technological efficiency and sustainability, cost optimisation, environmental impact and safety of workers, and road performance standards and their application.
In addition, and featured for the first time at ASPHALTICA, the conference will include a section headed ‘Road Safety’, which will cover all aspects from road safety technology to the design of intelligent infrastructures.
