New transport infrastructure projects that are being planned for the Philippines have now been approved officially. The Philippines Government has given the go head for the works, which will be for Northern Samar Province.

Amongst the key projects will be the construction of the Laoang Bridges 2 and 3. Although procurement will start shortly for these bridges, construction will not commence until 2024.

Financing for the works will be provided by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Building the Samar Pacific Coastal Road (SPCR) Project Phase 2 will come with a pricetag of US$118.5 million. Two bridges will be built, with one linking Talisay with Poblacion Laoang and the other connecting Calomotan to Pangpang.
